Leader in the manufacture of precision pressings and stampings
Clamason are a Made in the Midlands Gold Member
Created in Kingswinford, West Midlands in 1947 the company originally specialised in small, complex parts utilising both multi-slide and low tonnage high speed presses – an expertise that remains a core competence.
From the new Millennium to the present day significant new product areas are medical devices, automotive infotainment and specialist springs with quality again playing a major role. Clamason is one of only two pressworkers in Europe to be validated by the FDA, and a proud partner in the manufacture of Solostar the Worlds’ leading insulin pen.
At the end of 2016 the management team backed by private equity (www.connectioncapital.co.uk) acquired the business from the founding family adding momentum and offering vital financial capacity to exploit new growth opportunities worldwide.
From sites in the UK and Slovakia our precision pressings support the automotive industry on a global scale, from Argentina to Singapore and all points in between Clamason exports components just-in-time to tier one and two manufacturers including: Delphi, Schrader, TRW, ISI, Automotive Lighting, Continental, Martinrae, Visteon, Calsonic Kansei, Eaton and Bosch.
Clamason is one of only two precision press workers in Europe approved by the FDA (CFR21) for the manufacture of components for medical device applications.
Our range of components stretches right around the home from saucepans to solar panels and include:
Transfer Press Lines
Multiple presses located together to enable robotic movement of the pressed part between each press station. This allows the production of highly complex parts, with no carry strip, automatic insertion of other components, and the capability for multiple burr reversals. Typical applications include air bag housings, ladder tops, set top boxes and infotainment housings.
Large presses over 200 tonnes
Presses of over 200 tonnes, with beds up to 2.5 metres long allow the manufacture of pressings requiring thicker materials, multiple stages, deep draw, or a combination of all three.
High speed presses
Presses from 20 to 150 tonnes of various size and manufacture with running speeds up to 1000 blows per minute. Ideal for thinner gauge material and tightly toleranced parts.
Automation, joining & welding facilities
From complex automation to bowl feeds, resistance & laser welding, simple rivets or Tox-Lock we can assemble any number of components be they metal or plastic quickly & efficiently.
